AS Performance Note for Grades 1 – 8

Dear Parents,

Last year we had conducted both Annual day and AS performances. However, some parents have given the feedback that the AS performances were more meaningful than the Annual Day performances because that’s the skills that they have been practicing for the whole year. At school also, we have got similar feedback and therefore this year we have decided to conduct the Arts Special (AS) performances for all Primary and Middle year students instead of a separate Annual Day Performance.

The main objective of these performances is to give an opportunity to the students to showcase their skills in the areas which they have chosen. We would like our students to perform and show their skills in areas which they have selected and have learnt throughout the year rather than practicing a single dance / drama / music piece for 15 days and performing it.

The dates for each of the grades will be as following:

The venue for all the performances will be Fountainhead School. The performances will be split up into Music, Dance, Drama and Visual Arts as per the chosen specialization of the students. In each of these, each student will present the work that they have been doing in either groups or individually in front of the parents. So students in each of the art areas will be able to showcase what they have learnt and the work that they have done in front of parents from those grade levels.

Apart from that in case you want to see how and what the students are practicing on a regular basis, you are welcome to come any day with prior information to the front desk to observe the AS classes. The timetable is already available with you.
