On 17 February, 2012 Fountainhead School will be hosting the Author Mamta Pandya and the Illustrator Pankaj Goranathe to launch their book “The Coral Tree”.
Mamata Pandya is Program Director, Instructional Design, at the Center for Environment Education, Ahmadabad. She works with different media: print, audio-visual and new media and is involved in developing resource materials for educators and children. Mamata has written two books for Tulika – The Coral Tree and the popular All Free from the Under the Banyan series.She has also translated several books for Tulika.
Pankaj Gorana works with the Center for Environment Education. He loves designing for children. During his 15 years experience, he has designed several publications, touchscreens and other communication products. He has also designed many print and computer based environmental games. www.kidsrgreen.org, a children website that he has designed was a finalist for the 2007 Stockholm Challenge Award. His other interests include photography and bird watching. He has studied Fine Arts in MS University, Baroda.
We have a book fair at school on the 16th and the 17th of Feb. A couple of Mamta Pandya’s book are on sale. 10 % discount will be given to the students on all the books. The students can get their copies signed by the author and the illustrator.
