Dear students
Kindly bring the materials related to your science project tomorrow.
Complete the following sums in your math notebooks.
Chapter – Simultaneous equations
Exercise 7.1 (sum no. 3, 9, 10, 17)
Exercise 7.2 (sum no. 7, 12, 15)
Zest students kindly solve quadratic equation sums too.
Ratio and Proportions (Checkpoint revision)
1. A school has 20 teachers and 480 pupils. What is the teacher to pupil ratio?
2. In a batch of 10 dozen eggs, 25 are cracked. What is the ratio of cracked eggs to un-cracked eggs?
For calculating ratio units must be same (1 dozen = 12). Calculate total number of eggs and number of eggs un-cracked to find ratio.
3. At a concert one free ticket is given for every 22 tickets sold. 16 free tickets have been given. How many tickets have been sold?
4. A plan of a playing field is drawn to a scale of 1:200. A play area is 40cm long on the plan. How long is it on the field?
5. A heater uses 3 units of electricity in 40 minutes. How many units does it use in hours?
6. A machine puts tar on a road at the rate of 4 metres in 5 minutes. How long does it take to cover 1km of road?
