Mission Clean

School is a place where you learn so many things. It helps you to grow up into a responsible person. Every day you spend a lot of time in school. You learn as well as play. We must help to keep it clean and beautiful. To motivate our young learners to keep their space clean, Mission Clean is being implemented from Monday, 13th February 2012.

1.    Grade level competition – To motivate and ensure classroom cleanliness, all the sections of a grade  level will compete amongst themselves to prove that their classroom is the cleanest.

2.    Random checks will be conducted by the Admin team twice a day. First check during the day at any time and  the second check between 2:15pm to 2:30pm.

3.   A rating system will help keep track of the level of cleanliness in the classrooms and points earned. A grade can earn a maximum of 10 points per day (5 points for the am checking and 5 points for the pm checking)

4.      Winner – The monthly winners will sit in the foyer (new admin area) and have a special lunch/snack with Ankita ma’am/Vardan sir.

Criteria – One point each for the criteria s mentioned below:

  • Get rid of anything unnecessary – Do not throw paper, chalks or any other waste around. Always put them in the dustbin. Sharpen your pencil over the dustbin.
  • Take care of school property – Chairs, tables, duster, chalk, white board markers, etc., should be used properly.
  • A place for everything – Shoes, bags, water bottles, notebooks, worksheets, homework, stationery and art supplies, etc to be kept in the assigned space.
  • Clean up after yourself – Wipe your shoes before you enter the school building. Sweep up the mud and grass that is brought in the class room.
  • Overall look of the class - Leave the classroom neat and clean.

I would like to thank Mr. Bishwajit Dutta, father of Kinkinie Dutta studying in Jr.Kg Red, for his article “Benefits of Good Housekeeping” for the February edition of the newsletter. This article inspired us to devise and implement Mission Clean.
