17 February, 2012 was an exciting day at Fountainhead. The author of “The Coral Tree” Mamata Pandya and its Illustrator Mr. Pankaj Gorana visited our school. The library team had been in touch with the author and Illustrator for over a month to collaborate their visit. The key audiences were the students of Grades 5 to 7.
Grade 6 had a session in connection with their current Unit of Inquiry, “How we express ourselves”. The next session was a nature walk with a mixed group of students from Grades 5 to 8 and then finally we had a Book Launch where the author introduced her book “The Coral Tree” and interacted with the students and staff. Grades 5 to 7 attended the Book Launch.
The library team will keep trying to come up with more exciting opportunities for our students in the coming years.
