2. Further the basic properties of quadrilaterals were discussed wherein students understood the properties and did exercise sums for the same in the class.
3. Formative Assessment in form of online test was conducted for the unit ‘Let’s understand and appreciate the beauty around us’ in the Unit Test Slot on D-5 (04/04/2017).
4. Pen and paper Summative Assessment of Unit 7 for Criterion A – Knowing and understanding was conducted.
5. Project based Summative Assessment task of Unit 7 for criterion C and D was explained and discussed with students in detail along with its task specific rubric. Submission date for the same is 13/04/2017 i.e. Thursday (Day 6).
6. Students were provided with mixed bag revision worksheet pertaining to the entire syllabus of grade 7 Mathematics through Google classroom. Copy of it is also uploaded on Parent and Student resource folder.
7. Weekend homework: Students need to appear for Mock examination paper. Details regarding the same is shared through blog and Google classroom.

Thanks and Regards,

Dear Parents and Students,

Kindly make a note that soft copy of the Mock examination paper of Mathematics is shared with students through Parent & Student resource folder. Students need to take a print of it and appear back at home honestly in an environment similar to examination in supervision of their parents within stipulated time mentioned on the paper.

Answer copy of the same will also be uploaded by Tuesday through which students can cross check their answers and can approach any grade 7 Math Educator to get their doubts clear if any.

Note: Attempting this paper will help students understand the paper format and amount of time they would get during the exam.
Thanks and Regards,

# Grade 7_Mathematics_Highlights of the week (27th March to 31st March 2017)

Dear Parents,

Here’s what we did this week:

1. We started with a new topic ‘Triangles’. Students learnt about classification of Triangles.
2. Further students made two different triangles and measured each angle of a triangle and did sum of all the angles of a triangle. Through this experiment, they understood that angles in a triangle always add up to 180 degrees.
3. Then students learnt ‘Exterior angle of a triangle’. It was explained through hypothetical values. They understood that exterior angle of a triangle equals to the sum of the opposite two interior angles of a triangle.
4. This week they got two days to prepare for their annual performance.
5. Weekend H.W. has been given.

Thanks and Regards,

# Grade 7_Mathematics_Highlights of the week (20th to 24th March 2017)

Dear Parents,

Here’s what we did this week:

1. Students learned about different angles formed in parallel lines when cut by a transversal (Corresponding angles, alternate angles, co-interior angles, supplementary angles, Vertically opposite angles). They could also build a relationship between these angles. For this they did an activity, where they drew a pair of parallel lines and a transversal cutting these lines. They measured each angle and then it became easier for them to relate different pair of angles.
2. They learnt about different mathematical terminologies used in the lines and angles.
3. Students did sums from worksheet.
4. This week they also got some slots to prepare for their coming annual performance.

Thanks and Regards,

# Grade 7_Mathematics_Highlights of the week (14th to 17th March 2017)
