Math: Learners practised writing a cheque in Indian number system. Then, they were introduced to the international number system. Language: The session was about answering the questions followed by the EE chapter The Sage’s daughter. Teacher modelled writing answers for the question 1, 3 and 4. Later the class discussed question 2 and 6.

Language:  

  • The 2 poems from the chapter 19 ‘Funny Poems’ were read aloud by the teacher followed by choral reading. The answers to the questions given at the end of each poem were discussed.
  • Formative assessment was conducted.
  • LD- Week 1 Day 4 was done.
  •  Read aloud was done.
  • Reading time was given to the students.

Homework: Language Notebook

  •  Write answers to the questions as discussed in the class. (Questions are given in Empowering English Ch- 19)

Math: Students revised the International Place Value System and wrote number names of few numbers. Later, they practiced cheque writing to understand the real life application of number names.

B) Find the meaning of the phrasal verb and create a meaningful sentence using any 4 phrasal verbs in the EE. notebook.

Day 5 – Tuesday

Language:

The students read the poem ‘My Name Is’ given in  chapter 19 of Empowering English and understood that  Nonsense poems are unusual and funny. They tried to create their own nonsense poem.

Learners attempted for the formative assessment.

Math: The students were taken to the Bridge area and were instructed to work in pairs. They were engaged in an activity ‘How Far Can You Go?’ to better conceptualize length units.Further discussions in the class helped students understand that distances can also be measured using the standard unit.

UOI: The students watched a video on the Skeletal system. 

Homework:

Language: Complete the given worksheet.
