Distribution of chromebook for students of grade 5 2017-18

Dear Parents,

Distribution of chromebook for students of grade 5  will be done on Thursday and Friday i.e 3rd & 4th August 2017. You are requested to come between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm.

Please note that students of Grade 5 and new admission students who have bought chromebook from outside the school, need Chrome Management Console(CMC) in their chromebook (its compulsory). Students have to submit their chromebook on 31st July at Front-desk. Students who have not paid the software cost, need to submit cash/cheque of amount Rs. 2850, in favour of Fountainhead Education Trust. Please note that CMC software is required in all chromebooks.

Please refer the table and bring cheque for the balance amount of chromebook which is left to be paid.

  • Oral counting from 1-10.
  • Revision of subitizing using manipulatives.
  • Introduction of days of the week through a  song (
  • Formative Assessment on Sorting according to shape, size and colour, through learning centres.

TDT: Who we are

Central Idea: We use our senses to discover and understand the world.

  • Introduction of  ‘Sense of taste’. Exploration table was set where kids experienced  different tastes like salty, sweet, spicy, sour and bitter.
  • Students were gathered in the atrium for cake baking activity and bhel making activity to experience various tastes.

Highlights and homework – Day 2 – July 29th

Learners discussed the field trip to Eco farm and further shared their action plans. They were curious to know about the views of people outside the school. They decided to take up the survey about the same.

They integrated the task with Math-Data handling and they learned about survey questions, population, sample and sample size and finally planning to take up a survey during this weekend.


  1. UOI FA – Parents are requested to go through the FA which is sent home and sign.
  2. Project book – Students are requested to go through teacher’s feedback in their project book, update/revise as necessary and complete the pending tasks.
  3. Students have to take up the survey and record the response in survey booklet – 5 Adults+5 Higher grade students.

[Highlight Of The Day]

Math: Students were introduced to the Data Handling terminologies: Population, Sample, and Sample size. Later, they were briefed about the importance of ‘Survey’.


Language EE: Make 4 sentences on any of the phrasal verbs given in the handout: “Keep” & “Fall” – in your EE notebook.

UOI: Students have to conduct the survey on “Awareness about energy conservation” and submit the booklet on Monday.

MATH: Solve the following:
