From Farm to Table

Children learn from growing plants
People of all ages can enjoy gardening, but children in particular will have lots of fun and gain special benefits. Gardening is educational and develops new skills including:
-Responsibility – from caring for plants
-Understanding – as they learn about cause and effect (for example, plants die without water, weeds compete with plants)
-Self-confidence – from achieving their goals and enjoying the food they have grown
-Love for nature – a chance to learn about the outdoor environment in a safe and pleasant place
-Nutrition – learning about where fresh food comes from.

Students took an initiative, planted the fenugreek seeds and watered them daily. Later, they plucked out the fresh leaves and kneaded the dough while adding spices for ‘Thepla’ and relished it in school meal.

બાળકોના આત્મવિશ્વાસ ને વધારવા અને ગુજરાતી ભાષા પ્રત્યે હકારાત્મક અભિગમ ને વિકસાવવા માટે ‘ભારત નાં ક્રાંતિવીરો’ વિશે વકૃત્વ સ્પર્ધાનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. જેમાં બધા જ વિદ્યાર્થીઓ એ પોતાની કૃતિ ‘આત્મવિશ્વાસ  પૂર્વક’  રજૂ કરી.   ‘વકૃત્વ સ્પર્ધા’ માં ભાગ લેનાર અને વિજેતા બનેલા બધા જ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને ખૂબ ખૂબ અભિનંદન.

बच्चों के प्रस्तुति कौशल के विकास हेतु  गुजराती भाषा में ‘Literary Event’ का आयोजन किया गया था | जिसमे विद्यार्थीयोंने  कोई भी एक  ‘સ્વતંત્ર સેનાની(Freedom Fighter)’  के बारें में जानकारी ढूँढकर प्रस्तुत की | सभी विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साह पूर्वक  सहभाग लिया | सभी विजेताओ को हार्दिक अभिनंदन |

Multiplication Mania

Dear Parent,

Here we come once again to seek support from the parent community to guide your ward and get hit by Multiplicatoin Mania.
The students have revisited the multiplication tables till 12 over this new year weekend and they are equipped to create and appear for a Quiz.
So this is what you need to help them with, importantly guide them, supervise them, provide them with resources and be prepared with plan how they want to take up the Multiplicatoin Mania.  The creation and execution of the same will happen in the LEAP session at school.
What is Multiplicatoin Mania? How does it look like?
Student will create  means/ tool/ strategy to check the math multiplication proficiency of their peer, on the other hand their proficency will be assessed by their peers too.
For Eg:
1) Board game,
2) Dice game.
3) Card games
4) Games using UNO cards
5) Quiz
6) Playing card games.
7) create word problems..
Student will design the tool keeping in mind the time frame of 5 min.
Let this be a student driven idea but monitored by parents and teacher.

Day 5, Wednesday

UOI: Summative assessment was conducted.

Math: Students practiced the multiplication sums of 2-digit number by 2-digit number (with regrouping) using traditional method.

Language: Discussion of chapter 10 from the reader was done. Later, learners drew the dream in the form of a road, and place on it milestones which showed all the incidents that took place in chapter 9 and 10.

Homework: Refer common blog for Hindi and Gujarati homework.
