Unit Name / Topic List: Get to the point!
Criterion C – Communicating – i. use appropriate mathematical language (notation, symbols and terminology) in both oral and written statements ii. use appropriate forms of mathematical representation to present information iii. move between different forms of mathematical representation iv. communicate complete and coherent mathematical lines of reasoning v. organize information using a logical structure.
Details: Kindly get fully charged Chromebook and stationery.

Note: Kindly note that we will ensure not to have two summative assessment scheduled on the same day for two subjects. However, one summative assessment and one formative assessment can be scheduled on the same day for two different subjects. As per MYP assessment policy, if students remain absent on the day of Formative assessment then we will not reschedule it. Papers will be handed over to the students. In case if a student misses summative assessment task because of any school event, medical reason or emergency then the task will be arranged(based on the nature of the task) for the students. Students have to come to school in the early-in slot (7:20 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.) as per the scheduled date communicated to them through the mail in advance. If the student fails to come for the assessment then it will not be rescheduled further.

Criterion A – Knowing and understanding – i. select appropriate mathematics when solving problems in both familiar and unfamiliar situations ii. apply the selected mathematics successfully when solving problems iii. solve problems correctly in a variety of contexts.
Details: 1. It is a pen and paper assessment.
2. You are required to get stationery. No sharing of resources is allowed.

iv. explain the degree of accuracy of a solution
v. describe whether a solution makes sense in the context of the authentic real-life situation.

STAR OF THE WEEK

  1. Sparsh – He displayed the attitude commitment and took the leadership task and was seen working for it whole-heartedly. He was consistent in following the routines and procedures.

     2  Aashi – She displayed the LP respect and tolerance and a remarkable change has been showed in the behaviour. She was also seen trying to take the leadership for the class and tried to help the class.
