Morning Greeting:-

  • Ball toss greeting game was played with the students in order to make the students understand how to use their postures while greeting.
  • Sharing time: Students shared their reflections about the unit(adaption).

 

Phonological Awareness :

Various phonological awareness activities were done.

 

Read aloud:

Read alouds from Sr. KG monthly read aloud list.

 

Math:

  • Revision of the mathematical concepts(Skip count by 2, 5 and 10, greater than, less than and equal to, 4 attributes patterns, number names, ordinal numbers( reading), place value(tens and ones), O’ clock, half past clock) was done.
  • Summative assessment was taken for the same.
  • Worksheet- word problems.

 

Language:

  • Revision of all the digraphs done till date.
  • Revision of all the tricky words done till date.
  • Summative assessment of tricky words ( Identify) was done.
  • Writing sentences of tricky words (were, because, want, saw, put, could).

UOI:  

TDT- Sharing the Planet.

Central Idea- Animals adapt to survive in their natural habitat.

As per the class inquiry next habitat was taken.Hence, inquiring further into the animals and their features of that habitat through books and videos.

  • Venn diagram (to compare the two animals of the chosen habitat was conducted).
  • Diorama of the chosen habitat was made in the class..

              Homework:

 

  • Language:  Writing of the sentences for the given tricky words.(Kindly ask your children to frame oral sentences as well as help them while writing the same.)

Important points :

 

  • Kindly send swimming costume, towel and an extra pair of underwear for pool time.
  • Please note that the library books will be issued on Monday and ensure that you return the books on time.
  • Every Wednesday is a fruit day.
  • Kindly ensure revision of taught concepts in Math.
  • Kindly ensure daily revision of tricky words (reading and writing).
  • Kindly conduct at least one read aloud everyday.
  • Give writing practice for the taught number names (One to Ninety nine only).

Revision : Letter sounds, blending and reading tricky words.

Writing letters (a to  z) in notebook.

 

Math:

Revision: All the concepts through activities and learning centers (Seriation, pattern, greater/less than, tens and ones, backward/forward counting and before/after numbers).

Writing before and after numbers in math term 2 booklet.

 

UOI:

Revision: Discussion on- Needs of plants, parts of plants and things we get from plants.

 

Homework:

Language: Tricky word page no. 22 and 23

Math: Term 2 Math booklet page no.47 and 59.

Add important points-

b) Brainstorm about the Idiom you want to choose for the literary event.

Math –

Solve the following word problems in your Math notebook:

1) A gardener digs a flower bed that is 8 meters long and a meter wide. What is the area of the flower bed?
2) Tom built a backyard pen for his new puppy. The length of the pen was 6 meters and the width was 4 meters. What is the area of the pen?
3) Draw 3 different rectangles with an area of 12 square cm. Calculate the perimeter of each.

UOI 

Through a discussion, students understood that people have their own defined Roles and Responsibilitiies in an organization and they are interdependent on each other. They join organizations for multiple reasons – raising their standard of living, technical skills, to establish self-identity, to make friends, to exercise leadership qualities, believe in group synergy or to support a common purpose.

While discussing they also made connections with their school.

Math 

Students understood the concept of rounding the off. They enjoyed watching this video link for better understanding.

Language

Chapter 21 – ‘Some Peculiar Adventures’ of the reader ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ was read followed by an oral discussion.

Portfolio work was done.
