Dear Parents,

This is to inform you that students will visit Hazira Public School and Mortunda Primary School as a part of Action through service for the Wonder unit on Monday, 2nd April 2018. Action is an important part of the IB MYP and service is how you engage yourself in the action. The IB defines Action as “learning by doing and experiencing” and Service as “making a positive difference to the lives of others and the environment.”

We will depart from school at 10.15 am and will return at 1 pm. Students of Acuity, Cognizance, Idea, and Insight will visit Hazira Public school, while Acumen, Envisage, Perspicacity and Vision will visit Mortunda Public school. Sensitizing the children from the schools and helping them understand the effects of bullying and waste segregation will enhance their ability to show empathy and students will become more aware of their own strengths and weaknesses.

Kindly ensure that the students come to school dressed in complete uniform (Shorts not allowed). Also, ensure that the students remain present in school as service is an integral component of the IB MYP

Regards,

Language Team
