Teacher revised the steps of the writing process with the students and role-modeled the writing of discussion on the topic β€˜Holidays’ following the steps of the writing process.

Homework:

Solve the following:

a) In the School Library, there are 4,08,126 old books. The management has decided to add 45,123 new books to the library. How many books does the library have by year end?

b) How much is 2,75,815 lesser than 3,14,396?

c)Find the sum of the successor of four thousand two hundred and the predecessor of two thousand five hundred ninety.

b) In our school, the sale of sandwiches in the month of June was 420 and in the month of July was 367. What is the total sale in two months?

c) The Nature Club people saved 1,027 sparrows in the month of June. In the month of July 565 sparrows and in the month of August 725 sparrows were saved. How many sparrows were saved altogether by the nature club?

d) Every month a newspaper seller sells 34,679 newspapers and 16,794 magazines. What is his total sales during the month?

e) A shopkeeper had a stock of 758 food items in his shop during the beginning of the month. He sold 536 food items during the month. How many food items were left with him at the end of the month?

UOI: Learners were introduced to the words Landforms, Waterbodies and Settlements. They also watched a video about Landforms and Waterbodies.

Math: Learners practised word problems, expanded forms and number names.
