• The students selected the culture as per the sections. Further, students explored the artforms of respective culture and understood how artforms are used for expressing their culture.
• Students got deeper knowledge about the respective culture through panel discussion / guest speaker session / article reading/ watching videos / interviewing people.

Language:

• The students framed simile sentences and played an online simile game.
• Poem ‘Taste’ and ‘Sight’ from the Empowering English was done.
• Dictation was conducted.
• Formative assessment of ‘Simile’ was taken.

Math:

• Interpretation of the pictograph was done.
• Revision of the concept of round off to the nearest tens and hundreds was done.
• Students solved subtraction word problems and regrouping subtraction was introduced through place value kit.

• The students took the inquiry further by researching one culture which they have selected as per the sections.
• Formative assessment was taken.

Language:

• The students were introduced to ‘Simile’ through a poem and a video. They also learned to identify and create their own Simile sentences through the rainbow chart.
• The students filled the Anchor chart by using the comprehension strategy “monitoring inner conversation” after reading the story “The Sparrow and the fruit”.
• Dictation was conducted.

Math:

• Revision of the concept of commutative property, number line and round off to the nearest tens was done.
• Students solved subtraction word problems.
• Addition formative assessment was taken.
