Students got exposure of the genre “Blues music” in music slot. As homework students need to conduct a research on ‘Blues Music’ which shall include the information of the famous artists, history and instruments used in Blues music. Students need to record their research finding as per their convenience and bring the same in their next music class.

Parents are requested to ensure the completion of homework as it is connected to the next step of learning.

Dear parent,

Grade 4 students have learned to play tune of the poem “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” on Recorder (a music instrument) in the music slots.

Here, I am sharing the chart to follow finger techniques and notation of the song. It will help students practice at home.

Please encourage your child to practice at home and share their performance/reflection through DD.

Dear Parent,

Grade 3 students are learning about Choir under the unit of Genre (Western classical music). During the tuning in activity, students watched few videos of choir followed by a discussion on number of members in a choir. Students demonstrated a high level of enthusiasm throughout the session and enjoyed learning.

Here I am sharing the lyrics of the song and request you to encourage your child to practice at home. A kind request to share their performance/reflection through DD.

Dear parents,

This is to inform you that Grade 4 students have to bring their recorder from Cycle 3 on wards. (Date : 29th June)
If student has lost his/her recorder, inform PYP Music teacher (Palak Joshi) through DD before cycle 3, So that the order for the same can be placed.
Cost of recorder will be deducted from the imprest amount of the student.
