Circle Time:

Revision of all the rhymes was done.

Word of the week: Northern Hemisphere/North pole & Southern Hemisphere/South pole.

Phonological Awareness :

  • Various phonological awareness activities were done.

Read aloud:

Read alouds from Sr. KG monthly read aloud list.

MATH:

  • Introduction of numbers from 81-90. (forward backward)
  • Writing days of the week ‘Friday’ ‘Saturday’ and “Sunday” 5 times in math notebook.
  • Skip count by 5
  • Revision of all mathematical concepts done till date through centers.(Quantification, Before/After numbers, middle numbers, ascending order, skip counting by 2,patterns (4 attributes)
  • Writing of Number names 71-80 (1 time) in Math notebook.

LANGUAGE:

  • Introduction of the tricky words eight,of,love,cover was done and writing the same 3 times in notebook.
  • Introduction of the digraph “oo” “oo” was done.
  • Revision of digraph “ie”, “ee”, “or” and “ng” through language centers.
  • Dictation of ‘oo’ words.
  • Reading time from Cambridge Readers.

Central Idea : The Earth’s natural cycles influence the activity of living things.

  • Read alouds.
  • Revision of the following vocabulary: Equator, axis, Northern hemisphere, Southern hemisphere, poles.
  • Venn Diagram (Day & Night)
  • Concept of Ordinal numbers was explained through teacher’s daily routine.

Writing of the following ‘oo’ words (2 times):
tools, cool, roof, food, stool, zoo, Frooti, moon, spoon, tooth, good, look, hook, wood, book, hood, wool, shook, foot.

 Math: Number fly book. Page nos: 50, 70 and 71.

  • Kindly ensure revision of taught concepts in Math.
  • Kindly ensure daily revision of tricky words (reading and writing).
  • Kindly conduct read aloud everyday.

For this we want you to support their learning by discussing the timings of sunrise and sunset throughout the unit. You can also google it and tell them.Hence, request you to kindly note the time of SUNRISE AND SUNSET EVERYDAY and send it with your child daily.

  • Introduction of ascending order (26-50)
  • Revision of after/before/middle numbers and number names through learning centers.

  • Blending and segmentation of CCVC words (consonant-consonant-vowel-consonant) and CVCC words (consonant-vowel-consonant-consonant).
  • Revision of tricky words done till date.
  • Writing of tricky words:

  • Dictation of tricky words was conducted.
  • Introduction of diagraph “ai” was done.

Central Idea : Planning an event requires a multitude of skills.

  • Final event – Students along with the mentor teachers started planning for their final event.
  • Summative assessment- Picnic, Navratri and Fun zone were held.
