Phonological Awareness:

Revision: Rhyming words

                    Identifying the initial and final sound of the spoken words.

                    Counting words in the sentence.

Word of the week: cereals and pulses

Morning message: We get cereals and pulses from the plants.

Rhyme:

Revision of all the Rhymes.

Introduction of a new rhyme:

Brown seeds
Little brown seeds so small and round,
Are you sleeping quietly underground?
Down come the raindrops,
Sprinkle, sprinkle, sprinkle.
Out comes the rainbow,
Twinkle, twinkle, twinkle.

Revision : All the concepts through activities and learning centers (Seriation, pattern, greater/less than, tens and ones, backward/forward counting and before/after numbers)

Formative assessment: Greater than /less than, seriation, pattern.

Transdisciplinary theme: Sharing the planet.

Central Idea: Plants sustain life on Earth and play a role in our lives.

Students were given an opportunity to talk(enhance their communication skills) about the diorama/model of plants/trees created by them in front of their peers.

Graphic organiser and KWL chart was updated.

Formative assessment: Clay activity- Products we derive from plants.

We have included a few  activities in our curriculum which will help the children not only develop their fine motor skills but also develop confidence, concentration, thinking. We are conducting activities like cutting fruits, sweeping  dried leaves, mopping, kneading  dough and peeling  peas. We will keep adding new activities.
