Circle Time

Morning circle was conducted.

Recitation of poetry was done.  

Language

Descriptive writing on ‘My favourite animal’ was taken up from the pupil book.

Ch. 12 – ‘Eve and Steve ’ from Empowering English was conducted.

Math

Introduction of addition facts up to 10 and commutative property was done by using manipulative.

Introduction of Addition story problems involving single digit was done.

Unit of Inquiry:                                                                                                          

The unit under the TDT ‘Who we are’ began. Students could understand their Physical and emotional characteristics through the class discussion followed by few activities.

Complete the given mixed bag worksheet.

  • Structured drill (Discussion and phonics) was conducted.
  • Recitation of poetry was done.

  • Read aloud was  conducted.
  • Introduction of ‘ph’ sound was done.
  • Chapter 1 Jim’s pet dog Nix from Empowering English began.
  • Dictation was given.
  • A passage on ‘My best dinner’ from Pupil book 3 was done as a whole class activity.
  • Formative assessment was conducted.

Math

  • Introduction of number 200 and its place value was done.
  • Revision of  the few number operations was done.

UOI

  • Learners were tuned into the unit  How we express ourselves. They explored various books through book buffet engagement.

Few Important points regarding the meeting

  • Each slot will be of 35 minutes (30 minutes discussion and 5 minutes transition time)
  • Students will accompany and wait outside the class, while the PTI discussion is going on and join the meeting for goal setting.
  • It is compulsory for both parents to attend this meeting.
  • Please ensure that you have discussed and mutually decided (along with your child) 2 goals (1 behavior and 1 academic).
