Dear all,

We are thankful to parents who could share their old laptops, computers and Chromebooks. Grade 5 students are excited to move towards next step i.e getting these systems refurbished so that the system can be donated to Government schools.

In case you have missed, here is another chance for you to send your old systems to the Grade 5 wing by Monday 24th September.

We are hoping for a quick response, so that all the systems can be put for refurbishing together.

Dear parents,

Practice does not make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.

Students have stepped into the new unit wherein they will be seen solving problems using the scientific method. Problem-solving can help us have a direct impact on the people and places around us. It gives us further understanding of our world and builds on existing knowledge, while also paving the way for new problems to solve.

Feedback given to us is highly valuable and hence, implementing the same is our moral responsibility. Keeping in mind the feedback of allowing parents to be a part of students’ learning journey, here we are seeking your help to mentor your child.
You will be required to:-

a) help your child identify/refine the idea/problem that the child might have found out
b) guide their research process
c) give your valuable inputs

We have planned your interaction with students on the same day as the Book review i.e. 1st October 2018. The session will commence right after the book review session and will go on until 10:40 am. However, please take a note that this is a tentative plan which will be finalized based on the number of entries we receive. Please fill in your response latest by 21st September 2018 to express your interest:-

You need to follow note taking for all research work you do related to this topic of debate. Ensure to use claim evidence reasoning. You need to prepare for your topic by researching for both ‘For’ and ‘Against’ points.

From Dumps to Desk – Donate your old PC

You can be Reason for their smile !!

If you sell your old Computers you may become richer by few grands ,
 But if you donate, you will be richer by hundreds of heart !! 
It might be shocking for us to know that only 10% Indians own their Personal Computer.This leaves lakhs of schools in India without any access to a PC. In order to bridge this gap, students of Grade 5 Reciprocity have taken an initiative to donate computers or laptops to such schools/organisations which can benefit and help the students to learn about / through computers. This is also a part of  their action for the current unit on Digital Media.

We are seeking support from the entire Fountainhead Community by asking you to participate in this campaign by donating any old computer/laptop/Chromebook, whether in working or non working condition. Once collected, these systems will be sent to ‘Reboot –  hardware refurbishers’ for getting it refurbished, free of cost. The students will collect the refurbished devices and then donate them to government schools/NGOs after educating the students there about the benefits of digital media in education.

The systems can be sent through your ward to school and deposited in the Grade 5 wing. Kindly hand over the devices to:

Book Review/Retell – 1st October 2018

Book Review/Retell – 1st October 2018

Dear Parent,

In order to celebrate our students’ reading habits, we will be continuing with the Reading Club for students from Grade 1 to grade 6.

Students from Grade 3 onward will be challenged to read 1 book each month related to different genres independently. Once a book is read, students will be sharing a retell/review of the book with their peers and in some cases with the volunteer parents.

We are also looking for parent volunteers to review book/s for the students. Parents will be oriented about how to go with the book review on 1st October 2018 at 8:00 a.m – Venue: Y-Box.

Book Review will be happening during school assembly slot. i.e Day 2 between 8:55 am-9:45 a.m.

Interested parents need to fill up the form latest by 25th September 2018.
