Home Visit- A pilot project in Early Years.

Home Visit- A pilot project in Early Years.

Dear Parent,

We as a school firmly believe that the school and parents are partners in nurturing the students and helping them progress and prosper in life.

We interact with parents on various forums such as PTM (Parents Teachers’ Meeting), PTC (Parents Teachers’ Conference) and PTI (Parent Teacher Interaction) so that there is an exchange of important information and together we can nurture the child.

For a teacher it is very important that she knows and understands each of her student well. For which, what better way of getting first hand information about various aspects related to the child’s life than visiting your homes and interacting with the family! This will help teachers connect better with the students and their families and will help in developing the right approach for planning the way forward in guiding and nurturing the students.

Keeping this in mind we’re taking a new initiative in Early years i.e. Home Visit. This year we are introducing this as a pilot project so only 3 of the sections from Jr.KG and 3 from Sr.KG will be having Home visits, rest will continue with PTI-Parent Teacher Interaction which is scheduled on 13th & 14th July. The home room teacher of your ward will seek your appointment through a phone call/Daily Diary for a mutually convenient time. The teacher will be visiting your home for approximately 30 to 40 mins and it would be desirable if she could meet all the family members (all the members who stay in the house) and interact with them. It is very much expected that both the parents are present at the time of visit.

Parents are not expected to offer anything to the teacher. You may offer tea, coffee, lemonade, buttermilk etc. out of courtesy.

We believe that you will support the school in this endeavour in taking a step forward towards knowing your child better and forging a way ahead towards her/his bright future.

Note: We will be sending a questionnaire tomorrow which is supposed to be filled by the parent/s and submitted to the homeroom teacher by Monday i.e 2nd July.

Rain Dance? Yayyyyyyyy!

Rain Dance? Yayyyyyyyy!

Dear Parents,

With the arrival of monsoon, there is one constant question that our little ones keep asking, “When will we have our rain dance?”

Yes, Rain Dance is one of the many events that we at FS eagerly wait for.

To relish the rain dance kindly send an extra pair of uniform along with undergarments and a towel (big size) by Thursday. Kindly label the belongings to avoid misplacement or exchange. These will be kept in class until the Rain Dance.

With gratitude,

Jr KG Team.

Glimpses of first few days

Glimpses of first few days

Dear parents,

Theeeeeeeey’re back — those first few days of school where teachers are all exhilarated about being in the class to roll out the red carpet for the little angels.

The first few days have been thrilling and fun with the kiddos. Starting from settling them to listening to their innocent and humorous talk has been a sweet experience. It has been an eventful week for the children. It all started with a beautiful welcome where children were given colored badges representing their section as a part of identification.

The teachers warmly welcomed the students with a wide smile, role modelled all the routines and procedures and acquainted them with directions to washroom, play areas and their classes. They were also guided about showing reverence towards their peers and adults and things around; keeping the plates gently in the trolley after lunch; keeping their bags and bottles at the allocated areas.

The students also embraced read alouds and various interesting rhymes. They were guided to their buses with the teachers as well as the class didis. As it is truly said, “Time flies away when you’re having fun!”, and it passed by too quickly. The first two weeks were a delightful experience with the little ones.

Sharing a few glimpses of the days gone by.

With gratitude,

Jr.KG Team
