|The Harvard Model United Nations India Edge:
The Harvard Dimension – History and Heritage: Originally established over 75 years ago as a simulation of the League of Nations, HMUN is a product of gradual refinement. Harvard University has been organizing its hallmark HMUN conference every year since 1953, making it one of the oldest Model UN simulation in the world.
Substantive Excellence: The Directors and Secretariat from the Harvard University have decades of cumulative experience in Model UN conferences around the globe and are experts in the topics they will be chairing.
Global Networking: The conference presents the students and institutions with a unique opportunity to network and connect with peers from around the world and develop long lasting relations.
HMUN India Leadership Forum: Over the years, HMUN India has brought eminent personalities such as Mr. Vikas Swarup, (Official Spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs), Mr. Amitabh Kant, (CEO, NITI Aayog), Dr. Raghuram Rajan, (Former Governor – Reserve Bank of India), Ani Choying Drolma, (UNICEF National Ambassador for Nepal), Ms. Nandita Das, (Actor, Director and Social Activist) among others. HMUN India 2017 will continue to bring such dynamic leaders to engage with young delegates through the signature Leadership Forum.
|Vibrant Social Events: Continuing the tradition, HMUN India 2018 will return with the much sought-after “HMUN India’s Got Talent Night” and other such social events.
Faculty Advisor Agenda: HMUN India is one of the very few conferences which features a special agenda designed for Faculty Advisory. The schedule comprises speaker interactions, engaging workshops, historic and cultural explorations among other activities.
Beyond Committee Agenda: At HMUN India we carefully build each minute of the conference agenda with a focus to develop skills and enhance delegate perspectives. In the 8th session, we bring to you various skill building workshops and exciting interaction opportunities beyond committee hours.
Training and Workshops: Live interactive training webinars are hosted by the Directors and Secretariat on various topics pre-conference and a workshop on Rules of Procedure is conducted at the conference by the Directors and Secretariat.
Financial Aid and Assistance: To extend such experiences to a large number of students, we at HMUN India offer Financial Assistance to delegates who are unable to attend the conference due to financial restrictions. More details will be updated on the website soon.
Resolve! An HMUN India Initiative: Resolve is an exciting opportunity for delegates to join a community of other talented students who share their enthusiasm for Model UN and foreign relations in addition to select customized mentorship from the Harvard staff.
