Grade 3Language Learning Center

Grade 3Language Learning Center

Grade 3 has started Learning Centers for Language and Mathematics. Here is the summery for Language Learning Center week 1 ( from 3rd Dec. to 7th Dec.)

Routines and procedures for execution of Language Learning Center were shared with the students. Students visited all four language learning centers- Reading, Writing, Listening and Fun learning (games for language enhancement). The students had to go through all the centers during different sessions.

Session1: Students were divided in group of 5s and they went to their respective learning centers, did the task and wrote reflections.

In Session 2 and Session 3 the groups switched the centers and learned at a different learning center.

At Reading center, learners read different books and performed the task mentioned for each book.

Example:  Listen to the story of your friend and retell your story to your friend.

At writing center, learners wrote in the worksheets given to them which also involved grammar and comprehension skills.

At listening center, learners listened to the sound played and followed the instructions and drew accordingly. They did self assessment for their listening skills by filling up a check list.

Learners learned on their own, from their friends. They also learned to be responsible for their role to be played, participation, completion of task, reflecting on their leaning goals, managing themselves at different centers, using resources carefully, synergizing, sharing, and most important what they need to improve on.
