Language:- Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Students did comprehension in theirÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â comprehension workbook with the HRTÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢S assistance.
The students read aloud from a book of their choice, keeping the reading criteria in mindÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Âclarilty, audibility, voice modulation, fluency. They got to understand the importance of reading, and the fun of listening to a story.
Math:-Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â H/W Checking of the two word problems given at home.
UOI:-Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â The students wereÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â given theÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â scrap bookÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â to write their findings.
They have already chosen a city on which they want to research. They have listed it in their scrap book.
The students were made to write the criteria in the scrap book.
They also wrote the supportive concept based questions to carry out their research.
Life Education:- A quick revision of their understanding of three types of bullying was taken up.
The students viewed 4 pictures displaying emotional and verbal bullying.
An interactive discussion was conducted on the pictures displayed. The students reflection was collectively put up on a chart.
Parents are requested to stick the research guidelines on the last page of the scrap book, as a check list for their research steps which was sent across yesterday with the students.
The parents are requested to support and guide the students to enhance their research skills rather than do it for them.
As the students are already doing it in the school since past fortnight , the students are well versed with the format of research
The parents are also requested to use the PCM paper to help the students to explain certain criteria listed in the scrap book.
Few snapshots of the Sports Day held on 17th December. It was indeed fun to see our children taking part in all those sports. Though we applauded for those who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd, having the spirit of competition, but as we all know participation is much more important than winning!!
Kudos to all those children who participated sportingly and enjoyed playing each sport!!Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â

On Saturday, I gave the class, h.w to do research about Surat city and asked them to write atleast 10 points related to Surat city, that what is making our Surat unique and what was it’s history. Then on Monday in the ICT slot, I had taught them how to do research through internet and gave them hand-outs about research steps. They can even carry on the research using various books, magazines, journals, newspapers, etc to know about the places to be studied. Here as a parent you can help your child to make their findings easy, by asking them to type the key words, if they are using internet. We will still take few more places to have research on and this is how they will learn to do research by following the steps. It is not compulsory to use only internet, they can use other sources too. What is important is that children should know the questions what they want to know and how to get the answers related to those questions.

UOI- Learners were taught about research method in their ICT class. The steps of the research were taught with example of Kashmir in ICT period. Learners practiced finding information on Kashmir on www.kidrex.org (search engine for kids).
It is explained to the learners about their Summative Assessment where, they will be researching on a given place in their scrap book. It is their Assessment so parents are requested not to help them in any way.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â
Learners will research in school in ICT period as well as in library. They are given a paper where in the research steps and guidelines are there to make their information organised.
LANGUAGE- Worksheets on verb tenses are given for practice. A comprehension is also done in classwork from the workbook.
A handout of verb tenses was also given to the children for their reference.
MATH- Word problems with 2 operation worksheet was done (2 sums in C.W and 2 sums in H.W)
Homework on 18th Dec’12- Verb tenses worksheet.
