Circle Time:

  • Revision of all the rhymes done till date.
  • Morning Message:  Usage of “please”. Example: “Please listen carefully.”

Talk about weather.

UOI 3: – Family and friends play a role in our lives.

Family Day: Students came dressed up as one of the member of their families and enacted on the situations given by the teacher.

Language:-

  • Word of the week: Excuse Me
  • Revision of alphabets “A-T” along with sounds.
  • High frequency words: –Introduction: put, was
  • Revision of words (I, she, he, me, we, go, no, so, to, do, up, my, as, at, or, us, by, am, in, you, saw, the, one, two
  • Summative Assessments.
  • Homework: – As given in the note book. Please help your child write with proper directionality.

Math:

  • Revision of numbers 1- 20.
  • Revision of Patterns with two attributes.
  • Revision of Terms: long-short, wide-narrow, small-big, up-down, far- near, left-right, inside-outside and Fat-thin etc was been practiced.
  • Revision of mathematical operation- counting, association, after, before, middle, between, forward, backward, more and less, greater than and less than from number 0-20.
  • Summative Assessments

Free Play:

  • Construction\wooden Blocks
  • Lacing boards
  • Easel and rollers
  • Rolling pins and clay

Important Notes:-

  • As all of you are already aware, our night out is on 5th January 2013 (Saturday), so please encourage and send your child for the event as it is a part of our ongoing unit. If any of you have any query related to night out, please feel free and communicate through diary. We will send you the details and transport route next week by 3rd January.
  • Kindly send notebook and workbook by Tuesday every week.
  • Please send one object which begins with their favorite letter. (e.g. if your child’s favorite letter is ‘F’ then send ‘F’ for fish or frog or flower) for show and tell activity.
  • Kindly practice math operations (counting, association, after\before numbers, middle\between numbers and backward-forward counting, more or less, greater than and less than) with your child. And in language practice identification of letters (capital and small letters) and its associations (‘A’ for apple, almond, ambulance, apron, anchor, astronaut, etc.)
  • Please keep a track on your child’s progress/learning.

Happy new year to all my students and parents.

In the month of January we have 4 classes.We will cover 4 poems in this unit.Poems are based on seasons.

Poem:Explanation of poem by teacher and hard words dictation.

  • “મા મને છત્રી લઈ આપ તું એવી…. “
  • “ઝાડની કરુણા”
  • “આ સઘળા ફૂલોને કહી દો યુનિફોર્મમાં આવે”
  • “ચોકલેટ નો બંગલો”

Activity:

  • Students will write answers of given questions on their poem worksheet.
  • Students will make  “કંકોતરી” in their class,material will be used from school or they can bring any decorative item from home.

Homework:

  • Students will write essay on their mother from given poem worksheet.
  • Students will write essay on “why rain is important for farmer”
  • Students will make a poster “Save trees” and write some slogan related to save trees.
  • Students will draw a picture related to the poem and write about which rules they follow.
  • Students will write 7 to 8 lines about poem summary in chocolate shape.

Summative Assessment Task- Guidelines

Task: Create a tutorial which shows your understanding of any of the following topics. Choose 2 topics/subtopics from under the following list.

List of topics you can choose from:

  1. Transformations (Reflection, Rotation, Translation)
  2. Coordinate Geometry
  3. Solid shapes
  4. Triangles
  5. Quadrilaterals and its properties
  6. Angle Properties
  7. Geometric Constructions.

SO now you are making two different tutorials for 3-5 minutes each. 

Your tutorial can be any combination of the following media:

  3. Screencast
  4. Website
  5. Blog
  6. ppt/Prezi
  7. Printed matter
  8. Posters
  9. Apps

Your communication/mode of expression can be any combination of the following:

Final Submission: 7 and 8 of Jan.

  • Content (in detail). Something for each level of Blooms taxonomy.
  • Finalize your of media and expressions.

1.  Snehil manufactures cloth for the production of which he uses raw material A and raw material B. The sales price of raw material A is Rs. 100 and that of raw material B is Rs. 40. He sold cloth to Anay for Rs. 300. Anay used this cloth in the manufacture of shirts whose selling price is Rs. 500. Calculate VAT payable at each stage assuming rate of VAT on the entire product is 10%.

2. Purchase of Pranjal & Co., for the month of December are as follow:Rs. 1,00,000 at 4% VAT & Rs. 5,00,000 at 12.5 % VAT. Sales of Pranjal & Co., for the month of December are as follow:Rs. 3,00,000 at 4% VAT & Rs. 3,00,000 at 12.5% VAT. Compute the eligible input tax credit and VAT payable for the month.

3.Jayani purchases raw material from suppliers Naomi and Avina, for manufacturing chemicals. Jayani sells goods to a wholesale dealer Parvashi. Parvashi sells goods to a retailer Manan. Manan sells the goods to Jigyasha . Calculate the amount of VAT, which will be ultimately collected by the government. The following information is available. Avina charges VAT at 10%. All others charges VAT at 4%. The sales amount are as follows:

Avina to Jayani                      3,00,000

Naomi to Jayani                    2,00,000

Jayani to Parvashi                12,00,000

Parvashi to Manan                14,00,000

Manan to Jigyasha                16,30,000

  • “ભણતર કરતા સમજણ મોટી”
  • ” ઊંટનું નૃત્ય”
  • “વાંદરા નું કાળજું”
  •  “કણ થાય મણ”

Activity:

  • Students will read story and teacher will explain hard words.
  • “દેડકાની અને સિંહની ભાઈબંધી” students will read this story at home and stick story line in given worksheet. From this activity students will remember this story.
  • Students will write picture story on given worksheet.
  • Students will listen to video story and draw the picture related with story.

Homework:

  • “દેડકાની અને સિંહની ભાઈબંધી:” story reading from home and parents will sign on that story page.Students will do activity in class related with this story.
  • “વાંદરા નું કાળજું ” students will read this story and write answers in their notebook from given questions sheets.
  • “સસલું તો બીકણ જ હોય ” Students will read this story and write summary of this story in 5 to 7 lines and draw the picture related to the story.
  • Students will write story in their own words in given picture worksheet.

  • માત્રાલેખન ” અઃ” page no.57 students will write this maatra in their workbook.
  • Sentence making:students wil start making one line sentence without maatra.
  • Sentence making: “અજય કપ પકડ” “ઝલક તારા ગણ” students will make sentence from maatra and alphabet.

Homework:

  • અક્ષરલેખન  “ ત ” alphabet writing in workbook explanation by teacher and students will write it from home.
