Grade 2 X – Box Performance

Grade 2 X – Box Performance

We are finally done with the Grade 2 performances. It was a huge platform for all the students and a great learning experience for all the teachers as well.

It gave us a deep sense of satisfaction, when we saw these little flames enlightening the stage with their confidence and enthusiasm.

And nothing could dampen their spirits, they kept going even if they forgot their steps while dancing, or forgot their lines while speaking. They were all determined to deliver.

Their excitement knew no bounds, when we began with the practice. It was surprising to see how such little children were always there to help and support each other and give a piece of advice; how their friend could improve on his/her performance.

There was never a trace of boredom or fatigue on their faces, in spite of back to back practice sessions. Their excitement was at peak  during the final performance, and it was difficult to control them back stage.

In spite of all the little goof-ups; whispering backstage in the mic – which could be heard by the audience, taking time in dressing up, searching  for a mic on the stage – they all gave a rocking performance.

The comments of appreciation by the parents for their endless efforts brought huge smiles on their faces. Their hard work really paid off well.

It all began with a trickle,

A calm frothing, a low rumble,

And flew like a gushing water fall,

Now its we who need to keep it rolling.

These children have a lot of potential and its we – the parent and the teachers who can help them explore the depths and not let them settle for just a fraction of what they can be.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents for the kind support they have lent us; and for being very patient spectators of the event.

Kudos to all the participants!!!!
