Glimpse of Parent Volunteers activities in class

We would like to appreciate Ahmedali and Haya’s Mother as they volunteered and came to school to conduct activities and read aloud in class. Ahmedali’s Mother had come 2 week’s ago to do read aloud and Haya’a Mother came this week to play games and did a real aloud too.
Learner’s really enjoyed the activities. Hope to see more parent Volunteers in coming Month!!!

Circle time- Meditation.

Tables chanting and 5 min. grammar (gender).

UOI- Preparation for DFC.

Language- Introduction to prepositions through provocative questions and dumb charades. For tuning in students watched a video ‘Rosie’s walk’ and a PPT.  Students identified the prepositions and made sentences using them.

Homework-

UOI- Take actions and collect evidences.

Language- Adverb worksheet.

Read a story and note atleast 10 sentences with prepositions.(in the given paper).

Circle time-Chanting tables. Feedback session with the students.

Language:-Tuning in-Introductions of prepositions through “Rosie’s walk by Pat Hutchins”. Students watched the video and wrote prepositions .The video is about a hen taking a walk followed by a greedy fox, who wants to eat the hen. The hen goes around, under, through, over etc so many places and the students identify the preposition and write it down also took comprehension work sheet.

Math-Revision of commutative property.

UOI- Students are preparing for their exhibition where they would present the DFC- Design For Change. They are working hard with scripting, content and the displays. They worked for the whole week taking actions, like spreading awareness through presentations and collecting data through surveys. They have gathered a number of evidences to be shared in the exhibition. Their actions are building knowledge on their understanding of the central idea of the unit. Students are asked to make connection to the city, country and the world. Taking the students from local to global issues (International mindedness).

ICT-Students played games related to adverbs, followed by researching on their topics and filled the “Padlet”.expressing their action taken.(Ideate students were doing assembly practice.)
