UOI – As part of the learning engagement of the current unit, “Materials undergo changes to meet human need”, we visited Finoplast Pvt. Ltd, a manufacturing unit of plastic woven sack at Sachin, GIDC  Surat today. Learners were curious to know about the entire process of this sack manufacturing from the raw material which is small plastic granules. It was an engaging trip for the students and the reflection given by them in the class on the graphic organizer is the evidence of the enduring understanding of the process involved in manufacturing of the plastic woven sack.

MATH : Today learners learned how to multiply and divide fractions and they were introduced to the new term”Reciprocal”. Learners were given some of practice problems based on these two orders of operations.

UOI: Students discussed the process of making soap and visited the “Woven sack manufacturing unit.” The visit was indeed interesting, informative and worth exploring .
