UOI: Sharing the planet
1)Learners’ attended a learning engagement in which they were asked to sort out different materials into 3 respective cycles (recycle, reduce and reuse). Math was integrated as they revised the strand ’data handling’. Learners were very enthusiastic and while doing sorting they were confidently reflecting their conceptual understanding.Teacher drew a venn diagram on the floor and placed few waste materials in a corner, thereafter she asked students to choose any material and keep it in it’s respective cycle, for example, if they take paper then they are supposed to keep it in reuse as well as recycle, as paper can be reused and recycled. They could understand that different materials have different aspects, some can be reduced , some can be reused and some can be recycled. They were explaining the concept of the 3 R’s (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) to their friends.
Learners exhibited great enthusiasm by conducting the exhibition in front of their school community. They could speak about the central idea as well as about what they have understood from the unit,â€ÂÂSharing the planetâ€ÂÂ. We invited few guest who encouraged and appreciated our learners for their hard work .Learners exhibited attitudes like ,â€ÂÂconfidence, independence and enthusiasm†.They were reflecting by saying that ,â€ÂÂwe should not waste and we should try to reuse all materials as much as possible so our environment will be clean and will be safe in futureâ€ÂÂ. Others students and teachers also inquired about their understanding of the unit as well as how they made all the different materials. Learners did great while explaining about the environment as well as the natural resources. They could speak about actions which are harmful towards the environment as well as the precautions that we should take while using natural resources. Great going!!!!!
I would like to appreciate all parents who helped our learners to make the creative things as well as motivated them to make best things out of waste. Thanks a lot for your great support.

UOI :-  The students displayed tremendous enthusiasm while conducting various experiments on the ground during the fire work show.
The combination of coke and mentos, antacid and water produced effervesence and happiness on the face of the students.
The students brought resources from their home and performed  it independently under teacher’s supervision.
The session was an extension to their on going unit under “how the world worksâ€ÂÂ. The hands  on experience helped them to witness  the evident changes.
Thus going further helped  them to reflect on their learning and quenched their curiosity.
