Grade 3 Illuminate Highlights & Homework 12th Mar.’14

Settling time: Worksheet on countable / uncountable nouns and genders.

UOI: Students watched a video on introduction to the various features of the globe or the map. Like: The hemispheres, meridians, prime meridian and the equator. They learnt to locate places on the earth using the degrees of the grids formed by the longitudes and the latitudes. Students enjoyed learning and experimenting with exercises to locate places, given in the video.

Learning Intention: How do we learn the orientation of places on the earth and the usage of maps for the same?

Math: Students learnt to record and organize data in a bar graph. They collected data of the heights in centimeters, of their friends in the class and made a bar graph of the same.

Learning intention: How do we collect and organize data on a graph?

Homework:

UOI: 1) Record the temperature of last 7 days in ‘centigrade’.

2) Watch the Powerpoint presentation in the given link.
