TDT-HOW THE WORLD WORKS.

Central Idea:The earth’s movement influences the Human Beings.

Dark room activity:  Explaining how days and night are formed with torch and globe.

Learners were taken to the dark room and were shown how the day and night is formed with the help of a Globe and a torch. The light was thrown on the Globe from one side with the help of torch. This helped the students understand that the part of the earth that gets light has day. The students then reflected that the part of the earth that does not get light has night. This activity helped the students understand the concept that  the rotation of the earth around its axis causes day and night.

Students practiced for X box performance.

Math: Students were introduced to standard and nonstandard unit of measurement   through an activity. The activity consisted of  measuring the length of the  classroom and various objects like LCD, desk etc. followed by a story.

Learning outcome: How to measure length using the standard unit of measurement?

Language: Reinforcement of preposition through a video.

Students were introduced to triangular triplet poems. Examples of triangular triplets were given and students creatively made a poem as a class and students made creative poems in the class.

Learning outcome: How to write a triangular triplet poem?

UOI: Students were introduced to different types of maps. (Physical, political and climatic maps)
