The learners revised the “ad”, “ag” and “am” word families through play where they had to build towers by selecting words of Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â a particular family allotted to them (words were written on thermocol glasses ) and writing the same words on slate. They also revised the word families by sorting the word family flash cards and sticking them under that family.
Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â FS students participate in 4 th open major ranking Table Tennis tournament.
All the students played good game during the tournament; they all were knocked-out in the second round of the tournament. All of them learned new things experiencing the tournament. I asked them about their experience of tournament so one student replied: ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œMy experience was wonderful in the game. It was my first experience ever in a table tennis tournament. Though I did not get to play much because I am a rookie, but I was more than happy to be there and learn so much.ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â
After this I ask him; ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œWhat did you learn?ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â He replied: ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œI spent most of my time sitting and watching games. Yes, I learnt so much. I learnt how to counter all kinds of services. I learnt what I should do in order to return the ball. Most of all, I learnt how to position myself and how my movement should occur in the game. The games taught me a lot.ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â I also asked him: ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œWhat you want to improve in your game? How? He replied: ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œI want to improve my skills and my positioning. I want to be able to counter spins and smash at more occasions. I will practice more regularly and prepare myself better for the tournament next month.ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â
Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â This ranking tournament organised 7 times in one year in different cities of Gujarat.
Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â one of FS students(Aarushi Nandwani) have been Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â participating in all the ranking tournament and she is GujaratÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s number 1 player in (under-15 girls category)and (number 4 in under-18 category)she is a very good TT player she practice in her personal class.
