Math and Language learning centers.

Math and Language learning centers.

Learners were introduced to the concept of ‘Grouping’ of tens and ones. They practiced this through different manipulative in different learning centers.

  • Center 1:  Representing the given numbers using Montero cubes .
  • Center 2: Representing the given numbers using Jodo blocks.
  • Center 3: Representing the given numbers using fryums.
  • Center 4: Representing the given  numbers using Rangometry.

In the Language center the learners practiced the “an” word family through different centers.

  • Center 1: Associating the words with flashcards.
  • Center 2: Listening Station
  • Center 3: Coloring the “an” family booklet.
  •  Center 4: Making the “ad”, “ag”, “am” family words using sliders.

LANGUAGE GUIDED PLAY

Today in Language GP,  learners revised ‘ad’, ‘ag’ and ‘am’ families .

Center 1: Learners were asked to write  on the slate as many words they can of the given family ( eg ‘ad’ or ag’ or ‘am’). Then they had to find out out the glasses with the words of that family and build a tower .

Center 2: Learners were given basket with flash cards of all the words of the 3 families done so far ( ad, ag, an). They had to sort the flash cards and place them in their proper family.

Both these activities focused on reading the words. As all the three families were together, learners had to use their thinking skills and be careful while reading.  We also focused on sounds of the letters.

कविता का मूल्यांकन : –

 कविता यूनिट में विद्यार्थियों ने पाँच कविताएँ  सीखी हैं |

1. बादल            

2. तितली       

3. सेब       

4 अपना घर सब से प्यारा |     

5. मैं तो सो रही थी….

कविता का मूल्यांकन कार्य: –

१. कविता के आधार पर प्रश्नों के उत्तर दो | (मौखिक मूल्यांकन ) 

उदाहरण  :-  उमड़ घुमड़कर कौन आते ? जवाब :- बादल 

२. कविता गान :- विद्यार्थी  पाँच पर्चियों में से एक पर्ची उठाएँगे  और पर्ची में  लिखी कविता का गान करेंगे |

UOI :Muscular System:  Teacher asked few provocative questions and made connections with  the previous system. Learners were introduced to the muscular system with the video followed by the discussion They learnt about the three types of muscles. (1) http://www.kidsbiology.com/human_biology/muscles.php

Later on, teacher taught them how to make notes on the video. Learners wrote an exemplar of the notes made by the teacher in their notebook.

Learning Outcome: To understand the function of the muscular system.

AIE- Students read book on raz-kids.com today in their ‘chromebook‘ session today.

HOMEWORK :

UOI : Watch both the videos again and go through the notes written in the class.

Write all the difficult words from the video related to the muscular system in your UOI notebook.
