Kindle engrossed in Math Learning Centers

Learners revised Descending order through different manipulatives and learning centers. The different LC’s were as follows:
1)Flash cards of 4 different numbers were given to each learner and they had to group numbers according to tens and ones using jodo blocks and montero cubes, and then arrange them in descending order.
2) learners arranged real life objects like pencils, sheets of paper of different sizes, books, flashcards in descending order.
3) Learners completed the number names booklet.
4) Learners wrote ‘O’ clock time on laminated worksheets.

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.

Students at Fountainhead are trained to be Leaders in their own right; and one got a glimpse of their ability to take charge when these students (all of 15-16 years of age) designed an ideal curriculum for a school, which was then presented before the Head of School.

Some of these ideas are now going to be experimented at school in a student driven initiative.

Dear Students,

You are required to read “The Son’s Veto” and answer the questions that follow:

1. Examine the efficacy of the writer’s use of Language in presenting Sophy’s Character through the opening pages.
2. Examine the relationship between Sophy and Randolph in the first part of the story. (only Literature students)
3. Identify words and Phrases used by Hardy in each part of the story to: (Language students will make a presentation on this and Literature students will keep these pointers ready in their note books)
a. generate sympathy for Sophy Sophy’s excitement about meeting Sam
c. Randolph’s disappointment in Sophy

Internet use : Not required (except for Language students who will need to download the soft copies of the short story)

Settling Task:-

Learners wrote 3-4 lines on their own culture in their settling task notebook.

[Unit Of Inquiry]

Formative assessment was taken. Learners wrote their understanding about the different art- forms through which all the three cultures (Gujarati, Marathi and Bengali) express themselves.


Learners made their own story keeping in mind the 5 “W” questions done through Empowering English.

Language Development:

Learners revised the grammar concepts from their LWE reference book.


Learners solved the given addition word problem in their notebook.


Learners need to make as many short stories possible from E.E book, page no. 66. They have practiced the same in the class.

Note: Send library books and scrap book tomorrow.
