Dear Learners,
The syllabus for Term – 1 ICT Exam is as below :
HL Exercise
1.Try Solving for P and Qd  With the following linear supply and demand equations:
Qs = -8 + 6P ; Qd = 37 – 3P
2. Create a supply demand schedule for prices of $ 0 , 1 , 3, 5, 7 and 9.
3.Plot points of each curve.
4.Show the equilibrium price and quantity.
5. Place a specific Tax of $2 per good . Plot the new supply curve that is that is the results of the tax , labeling it ‘Stax’.
6. Identify the change s in equilibrium price and quantity.
7. Show and identify the change in producer and consumer surplus, dead weight tax and the area of the tax
8.Calculate the amount of tax paid by the consumer and amount of tax paid by the producer.
9. Calculate the total amount spend by the consumers (a) before the tax (b) after the tax.
10. Calculate the total amount earned by the producers (a) before the tax (b) after the tax.
11. (a) Explain the connection between the tax burden you observe here and relative elasticities of supply and demand  .
(b) How would the value of b ( for a linear demand function QD = a-bP ) need to change for a more elastic Demand ? For a less elastic Demand ?
