Learners wrote sentences using the following words in their settling task notebooks.(make, learn and write)

[Unit Of Inquiry]

Learners did a gallery walk as a part of ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œTuning inÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â activity. They observed the pictures displayed in the class. They also observed few things displayed outside the class. Later on, they wrote 5 words in the given Graphic Organizer which they came up after this activity.

Language

“Have you seen my cat ?” and Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â “The grouchy ladybug” by Eric Carle was done.

Math

Learners solved a worksheet based on the concepts they learnt so far in Term 1.

Homework

Math: Learners have to make sentences using ordinal numbers (from 21-30) any 5.

eg: Maria lives on the 24th floor.

The students read chapter no. 5 – My Fluffy Cat from the Empowering English reference book. The students discussed the cat family; animals like tigers, panthers, leopards, lion and cheetah.

Math

The students understood the difference between ordinal and cardinal numbers and wrote the definitions in their notebooks.

Learning intention : To help students understand the Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â real life application of ordinal numbers.

Math-Learners revised the units of measurement (length). Later they did an activity of the units of weight. The learners estimated the weight of several items like salt, sugar, pulses (chana and dal), peanuts, etc. Further, the actual weight of these items were measured on the weighing scale. Thus the learners came up with the units of measurement kilograms and grams.
Learning outcome:Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â To help them understand the usage of different units to measure
different things.

DAY -01

Settling Time: Learners wrote words of the week.

Math:Learners did an activity of the units of weight. The learners estimated the weight of several items like salt, sugar, pulses (channa and daal), peanuts, etc. They also wrote the estimated weight of their body as well. Further, the actual weight of these items were measured on the weighing scale. Thus the learners came up with the units of measurement kilograms and grams.

Learning outcome: To help them understand the usage of different units to measure different things.

Learners also filed their worksheets and collected evidence of their learning.

Language – AIE- The learners read the book “The footprints” level – Q and also gave quiz.

Learning outcome- To enhance their the reading and comprehending skills.

Homework:

Language- Read the books given and take quiz on www.razkids.com.
