Day 3:

Settling Task:- Solved the math worksheet.

[Unit Of Inquiry] Learners were tuned in to the new unit. They watched movie clippings from Tare Zameen Par, Lage Raho Munna Bhai and Tara Rum Pum.They filled a reflection sheet which had the following questions:

(1) What did you see in the video?

(2) What were the characters doing?

(3) Can you relate the videos to your own life?

(4) Does this happen in reality?

(5) What is the common factor in all the videos?

Thus, they came up with the word- ‘Imagination’.

Learning Outcome: To tune in to the new unit.

Language

 (1) Empowering English: Learners recited the poem ‘Cats’ on page no. 19 They could also recite the poem ‘Mice’ without looking at the book. They were very enthusiastic while reciting the poem.

(2) Learners also recited the poem of ‘Helping Verbs’

Learning outcome – To tune into the strand of poems and comprehend the same.

Homework

 (1) Empowering English: Learn the poem- ‘Mice’ and ‘Cats’ by heart.

(2) Learn the new words given on DAY 1.

(3) Review the goals of Term 1 and discuss new goals with your parents.

(4) Complete the LWE book till pg.29.

(5) Read the books given and solve the quize on Raz-kids.

Note:

1) Students are given the Report Cards in the report card folder today.

(2) It is compulsory for the students to attend the PTC. Parents are expected to bring the reports in the report card folder.

Settling task- Worksheet related to multiplication tables.

Language – Learners recited the poem on helping verbs.

 

Math: Learners did an activity of the units of weight. The learners estimated their  weight . Further, the actual weight of the learners was  measured on the weighing machine. Thus the learners came up with the units of measurement kilograms and grams.

Learning outcome: To help them understand the usage of different units to measure different things and relate it with real life application.

 

Homework-1) Learn the poem- ‘Mice’ and ‘Cats’ by heart.

2) Learn the new words given on DAY 1.

3)Review the goals of Term 1 and discuss new goals with your parents.

[Unit Of Inquiry]

Learners discussed  about “shifting” and “travelling”. Later on, we discussed about the difference between the same.

[ICT] Learners played games related to UOI, Language and Math.

Single subjects: Hindi, PE

Homework: Subtraction and addition facts worksheet.

Note: Kindly send library books and ID card tomorrow.
