New words: suggestion- an idea or plan, plenty – many, enough

UNIT OF INQUIRY:

Learners wrote the meaning of the words “travel” and “shift”. They also tried to express their meaning by drawing.

LANGUAGE: 

1) Dictation was taken.

2) New words are given. The words are high, life, grow, shift, travel,move, those, Indian, under and thought.

Library: Explored Eric Carle books.

SINGLE SUBJECTS: PS

HOMEWORK: Language- Read a library book and write the story in your own words.

NOTE: Tomorrow roll no. 2 is responsible to bring a new word.

Learners were shown world map. They reflected on the given questions in the given sheet.

2)Learners were introduced to the new words (high , life , grow , shift , travel , thought , move , those , Indian and under) .They wrote it 2 times in their language writing notebook.

Learners revised Odd and Even number through a graphic organizer called “Carroll diagram.”

WWE:

Revision of opinion writing was done through the class discussion. The students revised their previous notes for the same.

Settling Time: Learners framed sentences on the words – under and behind.

Language

Writing: Dictation was taken for the new words.

New words of the week given and explained. They were also asked to write the same in their writing notebook for 3 times.

Language Development: Learners practiced the concepts of grammar through the reference book.

[Read Aloud]

Read the books – Have your seen my cat? written by Eric Carle. They also read about the author’s life and “Franklin’s class trip” written by Paulette Bourgeois.

Later on, they compared the style of writing and the illustrations in both the books.

Math

Learners practiced the concept of clock and missing numbers in addition.

Homework

Learners need to read the class library book given and write the same in their own words in the 2 lines paper given. They need to write at least 6 sentences on the same.

Note: Tomorrow is a working day for students and the time table for Day 1 will be followed.

Tomorrow roll number 11 needs to make a story on the words given and bring a new vocabulary.

Dictation for the new words given will be taken on next Friday i.e. 26th of September.

Highlights:

U.O.I:

Learners were tuned in for a new unit. They did certain activities which included meditation, physical exercise, mental exercise (puzzle solving) and social interaction (passing the energy ball). Later, there was a discussion on the big idea about the entire thing and they have to reflect on the same from home making a chit chat box.

Maths:

Learners were introduced to comparing, adding and subtracting decimals. They were introduced to addition and subtraction of the decimals with the help of a graph sheet.

Language:

Learners were made to revisit the entire process of opinion writing in detail.
