# Highlight of the day: 20th September’14

[Unit Of Inquiry]

Today, we had an interesting learning engagement ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œHot Potato ActivityÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â. Learners were paired up and they had to write an answer to the question written on the paper. There were 10 questions to be answered and the time given was 2 minutes. The purpose of doing this activity was get to know the prior knowledge about the upcoming unit. The learners were able to reflect that these questions talk about our health/ well being/ and also its about heart, mind, body and soul.

Language

Learners completed the remaining answers in their notebook of Ch-8 Nobody Knows.

Math

Learners created and solvedÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â  word problem on addition and subtraction for decimals using real life situation. The students had to pick up books from the library and add the prices of the books shopped by them and later subtract it from their desired pocket money. They solved this word problem in their Math note book.

Complete the grammar revision worksheet given today.

Hunt for a short story for kids which has ‘irony’. Copy the story on google doc and share it with your class mates to read.

Math

Solve task no. 4 and watch the videos in task no. 5, 6 and 7 related to addition and subtraction of decimals.
