Learners were dressed up in their colourful costumes, depicting different characters   and spoke about the story . The effort of children and the hard work of the parents behind each child were highly commendable.The purpose of conducting the character dress up day was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the students by giving them an opportunity to speak in front of their peers.

Violets were very excited on “Character Dress up Day”

Learners were dressed up in their colorful costumes, depicting different characters  and narrated

the story . The effort of children and the hard work of the parents behind each child were highly commendable. The purpose of conducting the character dress up day was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the students by giving them an opportunity to speak in front of their peers.

UOI : How we express ourselves:

Central Idea- We can express ourselves in different ways.

 

As a part of the learning engagements , a read aloud of  the story “The Little Red Riding Hood” , was done. The learners discussed the emotions ,the main character of the story went through. They then expressed those emotions through different forms.

This was followed by a Visual Art activity , wherein they had to illustrate the character and its emotions , using different materials. The learners formed 4 groups and explored the following corners:-

1) Rangoli              2) Clay                       3)Paints                   4)Cut outs of coloured papers
