Important note for parents..

Dear Parents,

In the ongoing unit of inquiry, our learners are understanding that events involve  planning , decision making and organisation. So to practically experience this , we are organising a birthday party in our class on Wednesday , 3rd Dec.

Learners have been assigned different roles. Mostly the things they have planned will be taken from the school so that they get an opportunity to see the ‘systems’ in our school. But food is to be brought by some of the kids. They will come and tell you today what have been decided in their group .Those parents are requested to send the particular food item asked by your child, on Wednesday. You need to send food sufficient enough for 8 to 10 kids.

NOTE- All the kids of Sr.KG Glimmer are allowed to come in colour dress on Wednesday. But please send the uniform in the bag .

Settling Time: Learners wrote 5 words ending with -ing.

Language

Dictation was taken.

Language Development: Learners practiced the concept of grammar from the reference book.

Music and Movement: Learners did music and movement on the following links:

Math

Learners practiced addition sums using “Split method” for the sums given on the board. Later on, they were asked to make sums on their own and do addition using split method.

They were also given the manipulative to do addition.

[Unit Of Inquiry]

Role play was done by the teacher where the learners were made the planets and the teacher went to each pair (planet) and discussed the possibility of life on other planets. The teacher came up with all the characteristics of all the planets and the learners were asked if it is possible to live on the other planets. Later on, they were given a worksheet to mention the facts of the planets and color the picture.

[Read Aloud]

Read the book “Winnie-the-Pooh & Some Bees” written by A. A. Milne.

Poem Recitation competition has been taken. All the kids were well prepared with their poems and all of them did really well.

Settling Task:-

Learners wrote or illustrated what do you mean by Kindness.

[Circle Time]

1) Learners played “Chain Game” or “Memory Game” to enhance their vocabulary and to enhance their memory skills. They were given a statement- “I went to the market and bought a pair of socks,……”. Each learner was asked to add one thing using “and”.

Example- One learner said, “I went to the market and bought a pair of socks and shoes.”

Another learner said, “I went to the market and bought a pair of socks, shoes and studs.” (And so on….)

2) Learners learnt how to introduce themselves to others by using the following:-
