As a part of our ongoing unit of inquiry , we want our learners to understand events involve planning , decision making and organization. So to practically experience this, we gave an opportunity to the learners to plan and organise an event in the school.
Yesterday, Dazzlers celebrated a ‘birthday party’ which was fully planned and organized by them , of-course under the guidance of the teacher. The learners did the whole planning and things like taking permission, deciding the food menu, going to the store room to get the decoration materials, return gifts, inviting guests, making invitation cards, decorating the classroom, games to be played , each and every thing was done by them. After the party, we also reviewed the whole thing as what things were good and what things could have been better.
This opportunity also helped to see different systems in our school . They worked in groups so attitudes like co-operation and teamwork was clearly seen and some of them really demonstrated good leadership skills. Each and every child contributed to this event and we all enjoyed this party a-lot!
We hope learners take back their understanding and involved while organizing any event at home too!! Huge thanks to parents for contributing by sending Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â delicious food!!

Learners presented their readers theatre activity for the Ch-7 & 8. They evaluated themselves by giving feedback Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â for their group as well as getting feedback from the audience in class.

Settling Task: Learners wrote 2 contractions in their settling task notebook.[Unit Of Inquiry]
1) Formative Assessment was taken to check their understanding of the current unit done so far.
2) Learners did a worksheet on labeling the picture (related to the unit) and unscramble the names of the planets given in the worksheet.
Learners did the prediction worksheet Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â on the reader- ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œThe magic fingerÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â by Roald Dahl. They colored the cover page of the book (printed in the worksheet) and predicted the story Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â using their thinking skills.
Language Development: Learners were divided into groups of four. They prepared an advertisement for a fruit of their choice which had atleast 5 adjectives. Each group presented their advertisement in the class.
LearnersÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â attempted addition worksheet where they solved addition sums . Ex: 70+58+32=____ + 110. More practice will be given in the class.
Learners need to do the given word explosion (opposite, meaning, sentence and illustration) worksheet.

Settling Time:Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Learners wrote the names of any 3 books they have read.[Circle Time]
Learners colored a worksheet as per the color code given.
Language Development:Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Learners practiced the grammar concepts through the reference book.
Reader:Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Pre-reading activity was done for the reader “The magic finger” where they had to predict the story by looking at the cover page.
Learners played a game on an individual basis where they had to make a number (say 50) using the flash cards. The flash cards had numbers which can be added with the numbers on the sheet to make the given number (50).[Unit Of Inquiry]
Learners discussed the facts of all the planets according to their research done. Later on, they wrote facts about the planet – Earth. (Earth can, Earth has and Earth is)
Learners need to read the library book given and complete the graphic organizer given.
