Grade 7- Language Highlights – Insight_Vision

This week continuing with the reader – BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA, we had enjoyable discussions in the class as to what did the students feel when they had a new students in their class. Students came up with honest and frank opinions about the new classmates. This way they could relate themselves with the students in the reader who were shocked to see Leslie in the class. Also students compared their school with Lark Creek Elementary school – Jesse’s and Leslie’s school. It was a learning-with-fun class.

Few students gave their speeches as part of their oral assessment.

Dear Parents:

This week we explained the end of  world war one, in which we covered the following topics:-

  • The formation of League of Nations The learners learned the formation of International organizations such as Leagues of Nations through an interesting class activity in which, the students were divided into groups and they enacted as the members of League of Nations and formed the list of  objectives keeping the consequences of First world war in mind. This activity ensured better understanding.
  • How U.S. emerged as new world power post First World War.

We also started the Second World War and explained it by making connections to the consequences of first world war.

Happy Learning,
