After read aloud of I love Colors ! by Hans Wilhelm in group of 5 kids, learners stuck wool cutouts on Noodle the dog, after it got dry learners colored with sponge by dabbing it in poster colors. They got understanding about primary colors and the mixture of the same makes secondary colors. They enjoyed performing this activity.
It was a group activity where in the tune of “Fire in the mountain” teacher sang “Patterns Patterns run run run.. Patterns Patterns run run run”, Can we form a new Pattern? Can we form a new Pattern? STOP! Now make a pattern of stand & sit, front & back, girl & boy, hands up & down, rub tummy & tap the head, clap & snap the fingers, etc. And learners made patterns on their own! It was a marvelous time for them where they had fun and even revised ‘patterns’ through physical activity.
During dicey letter game we had spread letter flex and arranged the objects on it. Learners rolled letter dice, which so ever letter fell on above side, they had to identify the same, go to that particular letter, pick up the object and say sentences about it with sound. It was a fun way to revise letters, it’s sounds and association with the same.
