Revision of emotions :- Learners were given exposure of different emotions (happy, sad,angry, excited, surprise,scared)through various activities.
Revision of story elements i.e. Beginning, middle, end, title, place, message, time
and character.

Revision of types of families, roles and responsibilities of family members, importance of family and friends in our live.

Important Points:-

  • We will be sending the workbooks (language\math) on every week for homework. Kindly help your child to complete the given homework and send the workbook back on immediate next day without fail(if book is send on Monday then send the book back on next day ie Tuesday and if the book is send on Friday then send the book on Monday).
  • We will not be sending any reminders, please be regular in sending the book back to school, otherwise your child will miss out on class work.
  • Please avoid taking leaves as we are taking assessments.·
  • Kindly practice recognition, sound and association of the small letters [a-p] with your ward. Kindly note we are focusing only on the small
    alphabets, so please do the same at home. Capital letters will be done later in the year.
  • Practice recognition, association and forward and backward counting and after before numbers [1-15] regularly with your child.
  • Please send 2 lap size napkins regularly in the school bag and
    keep the lunch box and napkin in 1 small carry bag. (Kindly ignore if you are already sending it in this manner)
  • Kindly sign in diary for note/circular. Also take out circular
    from the diary. Please mention about the things sent ( objects, library books) etc. in diary.(When you send to teacher)
  • If your child is reflecting about his/her learning at home then
    please inform the respective HRT (home room teacher) through mail or communication diary. Please keep a track of your child’s progress/learning.

Highlights:

Probability unit started with a tuning in activity where students explored a TOK link “Theoretical and experimental probability’. Further they got in depth understanding about basic probability theory, conditional probability and mutually exclusive probability. Students also solved sums on the topic from the text book.

2. Things to carry: 
  • Four- five  pairs of clothes, long pants (please carry appropriate clothes as you will be involved with different activities)
  • Sweater / jacket, bath towel, sunscreen lotion, cap, sunglasses
  •  torch, sports shoes, socks, floaters / sandals, water bottle
  • Daypack, sanitary requisites and medicines (if any)
  • All these items preferably packed in a rucksack, that is easier to carry. 
  • It is mandatory for all to carry their School Id-card. 
  • Students can carry the cash (amount can be decided between parent and the students). All the requirements and arrangements will be taken care by the school.

Please refer to the students email id to download and send the medical form by Monday. (It is mandatory for all students coming for this trip to send this form).

Grade One Harmony- Narrative writing

Grade One Harmony- Narrative writing

 

Students watched the video where they saw how the story is being narrated using paper dolls. Then the students filled the graphic organizer stating the elements of narrative writing and narrated the story in groups.

Learning outcome:To help students to reflect on their understanding of narrative writing.
