Highlights of the week-(8th June-12th June)

A warm welcome to Grade two!!

  • Through games students introduced themselves to their classmates.
  • Teacher introduced herself using the teacher bulletin board which had some details of the teacher.
  • Passing the parcel was played to assign Roll no. to the students.
  • Routines and procedures are being practiced – This helps students know and understand the expected behavior in class and school. 6 positive behaviors for learning are being practiced regularly:
  1. Walk left
  2. Hands and legs to yourself
  3. Raise a quiet hand
  4. Follow the voice meter
  5. Be punctual.
  6. Respect- yourself, others,  property and policy.
  • Revision of 5 essential elements- 5 essential elements are being revised through read aloud.

Language

  1. Learners revised grade 1 concepts through revision worksheets.
  2. Learners wrote the following words-listen, caring, around, respect, clever, clear/clean, sour, picture, heavy, balanced, suddenly, waste, rough, wrong, could in their language notebooks.

Music and movement- Learners moved to the following tune.

Math

Learners revised grade 1 concepts through worksheets.

Some important points for the parents to know:

  1. Please send 5 sharpened pencils and 1 eraser in a pencil case everyday to school.
  2. The bag card has been given to the students. Please ensure that the card is placed in the tag pocket provided on the bag (This will help your child identify his/her bag).
  3. Homework will be sent regularly, please ensure that your child does the HW and brings it to school on regular basis. Please use the folder sent to bring the worksheets back to school.
  4. Students who have yet not submitted the Summer H.W need to submit it on Monday.
  5. Please send 2 passport size photograph of your child latest by Monday 15/6/15 for classroom activity.

Day 5

Highlights of the day :

1. Math homework discussion was taken in the class and peer checking was done for the same.

2. Learners attempted for Math worksheet 3 and4 with teacher’s assistance and peer checking was done for the same.

3.Read aloud catering to the learner profile; Inquirer was done in the class by the teacher followed by a short discussion of the same. Learners then prepared display for the same.

Homework :

LANGUAGE –  Complete the first Poem comprehension (6 questions) of the Language revision worksheets given in the class today.

MATH –  Complete the  worksheet 6 of the Math revision worksheets.
