Learners revised  alphabets through different learning centers like  sequencing of lower case and upper case alphabets through wooden blocks, association of picture flashcards with their corresponding  letter, tracing of alphabets on laminated sheets, making alphabets through clay,writing alphabets in language notebook.

Monday ( 22/6/15) is the last date to submit your summer vacation homework.So be ensure that your homework should be submitted till Monday.

The students who will not submit their Summer homework they will not be allowed to attend the class, their play time will be taken and their parents will be informed through Daily Dairy.

Dear students,

As discussed in the class, please write a Narrative Composition of about 500 words from the point of view of a different character in the story.

For e.g: If you Choose Cinderella, then you may re-write the story from the step sister or step mother’s point of view.  You may either rewrite The Phoenix or any fairy tale of your choice.

Make a google doc for the homework and share it with me.

Revision of 2 letter sight words:

Revision of a to z through literacy centres as follows :

  •        Sequencing the alphabets through wooden blocks.
  •        Reading and writing of small letter alphabets a-z in the laminated sheet, slate          and note book .
  •        Forming alphabets through Clay
  •        Revision worksheets

Homework:

  1. Page no. 16 [My skill English 2]
  2. Listen to the story, discussion about the story will be done on Monday

MATH:

Revision of Math concepts like forward, backward, after, before, between/middle, ascending/descending order and greater than/less than/ equal to through literacy centres and revision sheets.

Centres :

  •        Identification of numbers using flashcards 1-20
  •        Association of number flashcards with jodo blocks.
  •        Writing before, after numbers and between numbers.
  •        Writing numbers 1 to 20 in Math 3 book.

Guided play:-

Learners played a game where teacher divided learners in two groups and gave them numbers 1-20. Then the  teacher called same numbers from both the sides and learners had to stack thermocol glasses from 1- 20 numbers written on them. Through this learning engagement learners reinforced identification of numbers from 1-20 in sequence.

Important notes:

 

  • Reminder:  Kindly send 5 passport size photos and summer holiday homework of your child.[ Ignore if already sent]
  • Kindly revise the two letter sight words done Jr KG with your child.
  • Give writing practice of alphabets [lowercase and uppercase].
  • Send I-cards without string for issuing library books.
  • Kindly send homework notebooks on the very next working day otherwise child will miss his\her learning in school.

Revising numbers while playing!

Learners revised numbers (forward counting 1 to 20 ) through Guided Play (GP). Thermocol glasses with numbers from 1 to 20 were given to each pair , they had to make a tower of glasses in sequence( 1 to 20). They enjoyed playing this game as well displayed attitudes like enthusiasm as well as co-operation as they worked in pairs.

Learners were introduced to Language literacy centres this week, where they revised alphabets. The centres were as follows:

1) Associating letters to the objects.

2) Arranging wooden letters in sequence ( a to z and A to Z)

3) Forming letters with clay.

4) Writing/Tracing letters on laminated sheets.
