[Highlight Of The Day]

Math

Learners revised the concepts of fractions. They understood the reasoning behind finding the LCM through a paper folding activity. They also solved a few sums in their math notebook.

[Unit Of Inquiry]

Learners had a read aloud session on ‘Sleepy Sophie’ as their Tuning In phase of the inquiry cycle. They used the word splash activity by jotting the words which struck them the most which helped them to unpack the Central Idea.

Language

Writer’s workshop: Learners were shown videos from you tube about how to use google search, google map, etc. They were then asked to compare the 2 videos from which they concluded that any thing in the world has a story behind it and stories have different forms.

Math

Tuning In: Learners were asked to identify Math around them and later on, they were taken on a school tour where they had to identify the shapes around them.

[Unit Of Inquiry]

Tuning In: Learners were divided into different classes having different form of government in each class. They were given an exposure of each form of government.

A feedback was taken from the students where they had to share their experience/feelings and also whether they would like to have such form of class organization. Later on, they were shown a video through which they could recognize the different forms of government.

In the last 3 days, learners revised trans-disciplinary skills. Learners also completed their pre-assessement test for language and math. Further, Learners experienced different types of class set-up. They further understood that the set-up demonstrated different types of governments.

Dear students,

Tomorrow(26/6/2015) the IM (core and extended) slots will be not be taken up by Math teachers.

Slot 6 will be taken up by Tabassum Ma’am and she will teach Biology.

Slot 7 will be taken up by Shezin Ma’am and you need to solve Math word problems(simultaneous equation) in this.

So please do bring your Mathematics textbook and notebook tomorrow.
