Learners revised two letter sight words through different ways:

1. Fishing game in whichÃ‚Â they Ã‚Â had to catch the sight words using the rods given to them and read the same. A few glimpses of this game.

2.Ã‚Â Jumping on the sight word: In this activity flash cards of Ã‚Â two letterÃ‚Â sight words were kept on the ladder and learners had to jump on it read the sight word.

Glimpses of gallery walk [UOI]

TDT- Where we are in place and time.

Central Idea- Learning about previous generations helps people understand the relationship between the past and the present.

As a part of tuning in activity, the learners were taken for gallery walk where they saw pictures of different old and new things like vessels, phones, games,clothes, houses, vehicles etc.Ã‚Â Few of them could share that some things they saw were used in past Ã‚Â i.e.Ã¢â‚¬Â ye purana tv hai,pehle use karte the, Ã‚Â dada-dadi use karte theÃ¢â‚¬Â¦Ã¢â‚¬Â and some things are used by their parents as well as by themselves.

Counting through Ganit mala…

The learners revised the concept of tens and ones through Ganit mala. The learners were given a particular number and asked to count the beads on the Ganit mala and clip that number flash card on the same.

Making patterns on the board…

The learners revised patterns using Rangometry tiles and made patterns of their choice on the white Ã‚Â board. They enjoyed this activity thoroughly. Sharing glimpses of the same.

The learnersÃ‚Â revised two letter sight words in a playful way. Sight words were written on the fists of the learners, first they read the same and then moved around and read the words written on their friendsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ hands. They enjoyed reading the words and this was a quick revision !

UOI 1: Our relationships with family and friends can have an impact on our wellbeing.

Gallery walk:- Learners had Ã¢â‚¬Å“Gallery WalkÃ¢â‚¬Â as a tuning in activity. Ã‚Â They keenly observed various pictures displayed related to the family and friends and reflected upon their prior knowledge.

Puzzle Activity:- Learners were given picture puzzles of family and friends. Learners applied their problem solving skills and solved Ã‚Â puzzles and formed the picture and they discussed about the same.

Language:-

Introduction of letter ‘a’ (along with the sound)was done through the magic box ( apple, astronaut, acrobat, axe, anchor, ankle, arrow, ambulance, angry, airport, air conditioner, address, actor, alligator)

Learners did various learning engagements for the concept of sorting and Ã‚Â connected it with the Ã‚Â real life Ã‚Â applications.

# Introduction of subitizing was done through various manipulatives.

Routines And Procedures:

• Teachers talked to the learners about the 0 level of the voice meter . They also discussed about where we use it and that we must not talk while eating.
• Walking in line, walk on the left side.
• Taking permission for water-washroom break.
• Forming a circle.
• Circle time routines and procedures.
• Routines and procedures for centers.

Visual Arts:

1. Learners enhanced their fine motor skills by scribbling on slate with chalk.
2. Making models from clay.
3. Colouring pictures.

Important Note:-

1. Kindly send an object related to letter Ã¢â‚¬ËœaÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ for Ã¢â‚¬Å“Show and TellÃ¢â‚¬Â activity (Learner will speak 2-3 lines about the object) Ã‚Â by Monday( Day 3), 6th July, 2015. Please be proactive to send the objects on time or your child will miss out on the activity.
2. Kindly go through and adhere to the food policy. Ã‚Â The link to the same is below:
4. Send 2 lap size napkins and tiffin box in small handy bag, an extra pair of clothes everyday without fail.
5. Send an extra pair of floaters/crocs which will be kept in the class and will be returned at the end of the year. Kindly label them.
6. Label all the belongings of your child before sending, if anything is misplaced we will not be responsible for it.
7. Kindly check the daily diary everyday. Communication with the teacher has to be done through the diary only.
8. It is compulsory for your child to wear the I-card for the whole month of June. After that they can carry it in the bag.
9. Kindly send the extra I-card for issuing library books, as books will be issued only on the I-card.

UOI : Learners watched these videos on friendship.

After that discussion on following provocative questions Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Do you think friends are / friendship is important for our well being? Why? Which aspect of well being does friendship caters to? Why is it important to have a friend ?

They also made a Ã¢â‚¬ËœI have a friendÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ where the teacher wrote the qualities of a friend according to their understanding.

They made a friendship chain in the class. They wrote on the strips their name, their friendÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s name and 6 qualities that they see in their friend.

Learning outcome Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Learners tried to understand the true meaning of friendship and their responsibility and Ã‚Â also revising and presenting their Social skills.

Homework :

Math : Solve the following word problems in your math note book. Continue in your class notebook from the problems which are yet to be accomplished.

1. Sumeet spent 2 Ã‚Â¼ hours on Saturday playing football and 1 Ã‚Â½ hours on Sunday playing basketball. How many hours did he spent in all on the physical sports?
2. Puja learnt that ghee is essential for a healthy body. Therefore she started consuming ghee everyday in her diet. She took 1 spoon ghee with dates in the morning and 1 Ã¢â€¦â€œ spoon ghee with rice in her lunch. How much ghee did she consume in a day?
3. Shubha decided to help the needy people for the growth of her spiritual well being. She distributed 5 Ã¢â€¦â€¢ kg mangoes to the orphanage and 3 2/7 kg mangoes to the old age home. How many mangoes did she distribute in all?
4. During my Math test, I could solve 25 of the questions in first hour and Ã‚Â 35 of the questions in the second hour. What fraction of sums was I able to solve in these 2 hours?
