Highlights and Homework

Highlights and Homework

Dear all,

I enjoyed my interactive and delightful day with learners of Grade 6 : EXCOGITATE.

Putting in highlights and homework of the day:

UOI

Today learners discussed the home work from last session of UOI and then we started with watching videos.

There were 6 videos shown where they had to compare and contrast the situations. These situations were regarding “Boarding a bus in London/India”, “Boarding a train in London/India” and “Zebra crossing in London/India”.

After watching the video they came up with the conclusion ” the systems and policies are being made by the govt. but the implementation of the policies is the problem. ” They had to reflect about the same in their UOI book.

HOMEWORK: Answer this question in your UOI notebook. “What according to you are the reasons behind the malfunctioning of govt. system?”

Math

Today in Math, learners were engaged in performing an activity wherein they were divided into groups and they had to make a poster of quadrilateral assigned to them and write required details of the same. Covering most of the important facts, properties and definition of the quadrilateral. Each group wrote details of 1 quadrilateral, forming posters of 6 different quadrilaterals.

HOMEWORK: 1. Bring picture of objects from real life, where the shape is used. For this learners can click closeup photos of the object and highlight their shape in the photo or can also get cut outs from magazines or news paper.

2.  Research and learn more about the assigned quadrilateral.

WWS

Today in writers’ workshop learners focused on understanding writing using sensory details.

HOMEWORK: 1. Revise prepositions and its purpose using these videos:
