Learners of grade-4 started their stand alone STRAND (Interaction) in PE. through this strand the learners will be playing different kinds ofÃ‚Â GAMESÃ‚Â and ADVENTURE CHALLENGE ACTIVITIES.

Today the learners of section fortitude and freedom played a game Tug of warÃ‚Â Ã‚Â as their tuning in activity and two grade-4 sections valour and resilienceÃ‚Â played a game RugbyÃ‚Â  as their tuning in activity in their first stand alone class. Learners were enthusiastic during the game and worked really hard to make strategies and do team work. Learners were able to identify/reflect using the EXIT PASSÃ‚Â tool that what were their action and what was the impact/reaction of their action on them/team. Below are the glimpses of the same.

Learning engagement : Learners were given different situation and they were asked to identify different emotional characteristics.

Learning intention : To help students identify emotional characteristics.

Learning engagement : Learners read their new reader ‘My book about me’written and illustrated by Dr. Seuss and Roy MCkie. They wrote about themselves and drew their physical characteristics in the book.

Math- Learners explored different types of quadrilaterals. Expert groups for each type of quadrilateral were made. The expert groups researched about the quadrilateral assigned to them and prepared posters for the same.

Chromebook Orientation:

Learners were oriented to the chromebook.

The demonstration of composing and sending mail, creating folder and document on Google drive, renaming the folder/document, copy-pasting images from google, sharing the folder and document with other person etc. was given.

They have created UOI, Language and Math folders on the Google drive.

UOI- Who we are:

Learners took active participation during the guest speaker session about “Spiritual aspect”.

The experts from “Art of living” workshop Ã‚Â were invited to deepen the understanding of learners regarding spiritual aspect of well being.

Learners could come up with very good questions like;

• What is spirituality?
• How is it connected to our well being?
• Why do we only get negative thoughts about ourselves?
• How can we change the negative thoughts into positive?

Thus, the guest speaker session was very interactive.

Math:

Learners practiced word problems of multiplication involving Fractions. The focus was given more on how to frame the statement while solving the word problems.
